The lacing helps to hold the foot in the shoe.
The use of mesh fabric on the tongue provides ventilation.

UPPER
Characteristics of the upper
Part of the shoe that provides ventilation with the use of mesh fabric (better vented and lighter).
Includes some reinforcements to prevent premature wear.
Mainly in synthetic materials.
MIDSOLE
Technical Features
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) or compression-moulded EVA (including insole).
Shock absorption.
Bonded into the shoe.
Air bubble in the heel for cushioning.

OUTSOLE
Outsole
Can be made from rubber (for stiffness), PU or TPU (more resistant to wear, stiffer, better support).
Outsole detail:
- Turn point: helps the player's foot turn for direction changes.
- Grip: helps traction on the floor.
- Outer grip: provides good grip.
