Five matches to watch again during lockdown

Real madrid - manchester united 2003: los galacticos turn on the style

One of my all-time favourite Champions League matches. On show were the likes of Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Raul, Roberto Carlos, Beckham, Ferdinand, Barthez and Van Nistelrooy. Line-ups don't get much better than that.

There were goals aplenty in a star-studded, topsy-turvy match of the very highest quality. Football, the way it's meant to be played.

Arsenal v barcelona, 2011: possession football at its best

A clash between two of the most entertaining teams of the 2010s. Whereas most teams sat back and defended against what was a stellar Barça side, Arsenal decided to stay faithful to their attack-minded passing game. The result was a breathtaking spectacle.

France - brazil, 2006: zidane at his very best

Perhaps Zinedine Zidane's finest match for France. The legendary midfielder ran the show against a Seleçao side featuring the likes of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano, Kaka, Roberto Carlos and Cafu. It was as commanding a performance as you're likely to see, one made all the more impressive by the fact he was 34.

Thierry Henry scored the only goal of the game, from Zidane's pinpoint free-kick.

Real madrid - barcelona, 2005: ronaldinho on another level

This was a match that not everyone got to see, simply because in those days there wasn't the wall-to-wall coverage we have today. It's a game that's well worth watching though, not least because the Bernabeu fans got on their feet to applaud a Barça player; not something you see every day.

Argentina - england, 1986: maradona goes down in history

This game was all about Diego Armando Maradona. He scored two goals that went down in footballing history, for very different reasons.

Watch the game for yourselves and give me your thoughts below the line.
